My Baby - the Comic Hero

Neil is almost 5 months, he's blowing past all the
normal milestones babies are supposed to meet - as if
they born with a calendar, knowing the date "oh, I'm
4 month's today, time to start grabbing at specific
objects & rolling over" lol - but he's doing them
all, he's always had great head control, he's been
rolling from his tummy to his back, he grabs at his
toys and can put things in his mouth - ie, teething
ring, binky (though not always the right way hehe,
it' just kinda luck of the draw with the binky)
But...guess what? My baby has special super powers -
he is a regular Comic Book Hero. He has a 6th sense -
he can psychically tell what temperature my dinner
is, and he won't finish nursing until it's met a cool
70* lol. I've become quite good at eating with one
hand and nursing the lil bean-o with the other.
I wanted to kill everyone in Wally world yesterday. I hate going there without Sean, but he was working in the morning and I wanted to get out and pick up stuff before the massive amount of Wal-World shoppers poured out of their homes. Well so much for that. I had Neil in the sling - which , aside from it's 10000 other great things about the sling, one of the big reasons I love it is because people are usually less prone to man handling my baby if he's pressed up against my chest. But no - not this time, people were all over me...or, all over him I should say really. Where does it say it's ok to just touch babies? Seriously, keep your corn chip looking neon green fake nailed fingers away from my baby! While I'm on the baby subject - just because my baby doesn't look like an obese formula fed bottle monster - that doesn't mean he was premature, he was right on time, and he's at a perfectly healthy weight for his age, and by being breast fed, he's yet to have any ear infections, or any other sicknesses. He's had one fever, and that was a reaction to his 4 month vaccinations. The poor kid's been through everything else under the sun with surgery and castings and now these shoes - on top of a dairy/soy allergy - but I'd like to think that his core is healthy because of breastfeeding. It's funny how passionate I've become about the whole formula feeding vs breastfeeding debate. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't breastfeed. Doesn't the instinct to give your child the best become overwhelmingly strong once you see your little baby for the first time - why start off his life giving him formula? Blah I'll step off that soap box for now, and move on to an endearing pic - taken with photobooth - I call it "My son - the Comic Book Hero"
