Who are you? Where are your roots? We are Jeanie and Chrissy, sisters born and raised in Chicago. Chrissy lives in Denver, Jeanie is still in a Chicago suburb. We are both full-time working moms.
How long have you been selling your artwork?
We started on etsy selling in November, just after Thanksgiving.
What were you like in High School?
We were really similar, though we are two years apart. We both loved school, were involved in everything we could get into, and had tons of friends, all from the different hs cliques, and hung around with a bunch of different people.
What would you consider your muse?
Our kids, our everyday lives and our work.
What is your favorite medium, and why?
We work with all different types of materials, Jeanie likes paper crafts, sewing and photography, Chrissy likes beading and also enjoys the paper crafts.
Tell me about your artwork, what would you consider your style?
We currently sell a variety of items in our shop, including beaded bookmarks, embellished boxes and photography. Our style is personal and unique matching words with images and color.
Who do you think your top market is?
People like us. Mostly female, 20-40 year olds who love unique items, but would not pursue the same type of crafts that we make!
Who is your most favorite and least favorite celebrity?
Jeanie says Sheryl Crow and Jennifer Garner, also currently into Jeremy Piven. Chrissy likes Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks.
We both hate the Hilton sisters and Britney.
Do you listen to music while you create? If so, which, or who is your favorite?
Yep. John Mellencamp.
Other than creating art - what is your favorite hobby?
Any athletic endeavor we can experiment with, including softball, running and triathlons.
What do you believe is essential for an etsy seller?
Excellent customer service, unique products and great communication.
