Who are you? Where are your roots?
I am a mother, homeschool teacher, homemaker, animal lover, gardener, business woman & child of God! (My name is Monica) My roots are in the piney woods of NorthEast Texas. My family roots are in Germany.

What were you like in High School? Skinny! Danced 4 days a week.

What would you consider your muse? God's word. I am passionate about it and believe there are many truths hidden in the Hebrew text that many of are missing. The Hebrew language is beautiful and paints pictures in the mind that bring clarity to the words.

What is your favorite medium, and why? Olive oil! It's what makes our soap so wonderfully moisturizing. I've cooked with it soley for years for health reasons.

Tell me about your artwork, what style are you? Yes, soap making is artwork in many ways. I love the natural blends, using botanicals, clays, and essential oils. I also love color and swirls or spashes of color. I once painted my daughter's room with dowels - I dipped them into the paint and literally threw it on the wall. I've carried the concept over to soaps.

Who do you consider your top market? People that are informed about good quality soaps and are willing to pay the price for them.

Who is your most favorite and least favorite celebrity? Gosh, I am not much of a 'watcher'. I always loved Doris Day as her shows were funny and wholesome. I dislike Donald Trump and Rosie and everything they stand for! I also think Britney is shameful.

Do you listen to music while you create? If so, which, and who is your favorite? Just had a CD in while mixing oils "Music from God". An instrumental which was very relaxing.

Other than creating art - what is your favorite hobby? Animals. They give back more than I could ever give them.

What do you believe is essential for an etsy seller? Quality, service and ability to communicate the product's message. Buying an unseen product is often intimidating. We need to be able to inform our buyers through description and great feedback scores. That will bring them a confidence in buying.
