Photo Bloggin Update, I'm Phlogging

I'm doing a photo blog today, why? Because people like pictures. Because a picture is worth a thousand words, because, well, I got camera happy.

Right now, my fav place in the house is right by my garbage can. Yep, it's true. Not because I have a lot of garbage, or, because I'm barfing or might barf - because the trash can is under the window in our kitchen. Right outside that window is a lovely lilac bush.

It must have tripled in size since last year, cause it was never like that before. It blows the scent of lilacs through the kitchen, it's totally great, the kitchen smells wonderful. It's really Spring-ish. I'm never really big on Spring, because it inevitably brings the Summer, which is nothing but hot, humid, make my curly hair frizzy, make me sweaty weather. Not something I look forward to. Something else that I'm not thrilled about, my neighbor is moving.

My neighbor, the true owner of the house, is an 83 year old woman - she is the spirit of this town. Everyone knows her, she's got the energy of a teenager, she's nice to everyone, she is just a wonderful person - you couldn't find anyone to say a bad word about her. She loves dancing, walking around town, visiting with people - She's seriously the greatest neighbor. She still cleans houses every day for a living too, and she loves it! When i had my cafe I saw her everyday, she's such a sweet heart. Anyway her daughter listed their house for sale, so they can go live in a place w/ the daughters bf, it will totally isolate Margie, as she doesn't drive and she won't be able to walk to her usual places. She's lived here for 83 years, her whole life, she was born up the street in one of the houses there - it breaks my heart that she's being taken out of this town now. I hope it doesn't sell. Here's a pic of Margie dancing at the Cultural Arts Fest on Main Street here in Medford - in 2002. Her arm was broken, it didn't slow her down one bit!

In other news though, we've been looking for some fun backyard toys for my son Neil, who is 15 months now. I've been scouring Craigslist for Little Tikes stuff - boy, does it move fast or what! Well, people up the street from us had a whole bunch of cool stuff. It was "bulk trash week" and they had a TON of backyard toys. So, reluctantly, Sean took me down with the van to load it up. He thought it was too dirty, but alas, he did not know the real magic in Mr.Clean Magic Erasers (or, Target's brand at least) I spent Sunday scrubbing them silly until they were as good as new, sun faded a bit, but as good as new! Sean mowed the lawn, it looks really nice back there. Here's a pic of our awesome trash picking adventures lol:

Neil loves them, he just sits on them and squeals in delight, it's so cute. We're probably going to BBQ soon and really enjoy the back yard.

Also, one of my bestest buds Crissy is graduating from College, she's all official now Happy Congrats Crissy! You know I love ya, and I'm proud of you!
