Anybody have one of those stories that would be
absolutely horrifying to live - but since it's not
you, or since it's over - it's freaking hysterical?
Particularly holiday stories? I got one!
So when my grandmother was a little girl, she had lots of cousins and for the holidays they would all get together in one house to celebrate. Christmas eve, all the children would sleep in the attic room, all together.
Well, as you can imagine - a ton of children in one room on Christmas eve - excitement is running on full blast. Santa is coming - and they just cannot contain themselves! They're up, running around the room, laughing, making noise, etc.
The parents are downstairs, no doubt drinking and having a grand old time.....waiting for the kids to go to sleep so they can get to work on the presents, and, keep partying.
Well the kids are being rowdy, so the parents take their turns going up and telling them to quiet down and go to sleep....to no avail.
Well - finally they've had enough, my great grandfather goes up there and tells the kids that if they don't quiet down, lay in their beds and go to sleep that he's going to wait outside for Santa - and when he gets here - he's going to SHOOT Santa so they get no presents ever again!
I guess some of the kids were still being unruly after that and making noise.....well....sure enough they hear "jingle jingle jingle" of bells, and some "ho ho ho's" and then.......to the children's horror - they hear "BANG BANG BANG" of a gun! The parents staged the whole thing - stomping on the roof, jingling bells, ho ho ho's....and then shooting a few rounds!
And the kids were devistated.....but quiet, and sat in silence til they fell asleep!
That story is absolutely horrifying, but it makes me laugh every year hahaha.
